The Khyber Splitboard has been the most popular splitboard in the fleet for a few year’s now for good reason: it makes powder riding fun and easy! The khyber’s wide nose, generous sidecut, hybrid rocker and increased taper provides excellent float and manoeuvrability in powder conditions as well as minimizing back leg burn in the pow. Camber through the mid section allows the board to perform in hard-pack and variable snow conditions too. The Khyber Splitboard makes riding tight trees and critical sections easier than you've ever dreamed possible! The Khyber Splitboard is named after an off-piste area on Whistler Mountain that is legendary for its treed powder stashes. There is a great view of the Khyber region from the Prior factory - on a good day we can ride the Khyber trees almost into our back door. Profile – Hybrid Rocker Best for - Powder of all kinds - from tight trees to chutes, pillow lines and open bowls. The Khyber also performs well on crud, chunder and varied winter snow conditions. Rider type - Self propelled backcountry snowboarders who want a manoeuvrable, quick-turning ride that maximizes their powder experience.

Quadglass Construction
Prior Snowboards' quadraxial glass/carbon composite (quad glass) is a stitched fabric with fibers running in four directions (+30, -30, 0 and +90 degrees). It also contains two 6cm-wide, 10-count carbon strips running lengthwise 4cm from the center of the board. The quadglass material is layered on each side of a vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets. The fiberglass/carbon configuration of quadglass creates a responsive, long lasting ride with excellent torsional stability. The additional directional weave creates enhanced torsional stiffness in comparison to the triaxial fibreglass construction.
